By far the most popular meeting place is our spectacular two-storey tree bar built in and around an ancient broad spreading tree, nearly 400 years old. It is the perfect venue at the end of the day for enjoying a relaxing drink after your meal.
Late at night the sound of conversation is almost drowned out by the nocturnal noises of the forest that surrounds you; the buzz of insects, the calls of birds, the yap of a baboon and occasionally the far away grunt of a hippo. Trails of lanterns, placed only feet apart, light your way home right up to the front door of your godjo, where the exotic sounds of the African night will lull you to sleep.
